Thirty thought-provoking songs for high school students to analyze. Students listen to the songs and print the missing words on cloze outlines. This is followed by a class discussion and journal writing. Working on songs develops listening skills, provides a review of basics (spelling, vocabulary) and offers the student a forum in which to explore important issues such as love, friendship, peer pressure, parental neglect, alienation, and anger.
